PROJECT "ONLY FOR GIRLS" CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
2009-2011
- The project "Only for Girls" seeks to create a
Differentiated Formation Model for the female population in communities
in social disadvantage. It is a meeting space between adolescent and
adult women that allows for a particular approach, for their needs,
capacities and problems.
During the month of
December, Fundacion Paniamor and its allied entity Fundacion Humberto
Pacheco Coto, presented their initiative: the Circle of Friends, as
part of their project "Only for Girls".
The
Circle of Friends is conceived as a social network made up of a group
of well known women for their worth in different tasks that create an
alliance of support for the personal growth of the participating
adolescent women, keeping in mind their potential to share personal and
professional experiences to their formation process.
The members of the Circle of Friends plan to accompany the girls
through group discussions about their personal and professional
experiences, artistic workshops, consultations on initiative and
organization of guided visits.
The mentors will interact with adolescents in tutorial spaces where
art, corporal expression and initiative will be the tools for
collectively constructing new meanings of being a woman in a personal, local and global context.
