THE NEW ROLE OF ADOLESCENTS IN POLITICAL SPHERES
In
order to enable adolescents to take part of the development and daily
life of their community and with the achievement to start a social
change within the significance of the rights of children and
adolescents, Fundacion Paniamor, the community of Santa Ana and the
Association of Development initiated the project "Following your steps towards development".
During
this project, adolescents from Santa Ana and San Jose have participated
in a communitarian agenda, working together with officials and leading
officials belonging to this community of Santa Ana. This cooperation of
adolescents and officials has been described by the adults as a gain
for all parts.
Thus the community of Santa Ana has generated an intergenerational
dialogue which seeks in long-term for a social change within the
attitude towards children and adolescents and towards the respect of
their rights.
