"TALES TO DISCUSS" GO HAND IN HAND WITH THE CONVENTION AND FAMILY
- Thirty educative tales placing the child as the protagonist of his or her rights and responsibilities
As shown by the tales that joined the Vagon Setimo block of Channel 7,
a tale can be more than a magic tale, narrated with cartoons and funny
anecdotes. Instead these tales provide a forum for discussion of rights
and obligations of five different and original characters.
The series of 30 tales with the title “Tales to Discuss” was
donated by a friendly organization EDEX from the Basque Region, Spain.
Its thematic corresponds to the Rights of Children as they are deduced
from the Convention on the Rights of Children and the Code of Children
and Adolescents in Costa Rica and represent a fair material to promote
reflection and action in this field.
In
the month allusive to the Day of the Child in Costa Rica, this year of
especial significance as it marks 20 years since ratifying the
Convention on the Rights of Children, support to advance the
fulfillment of our mission was found with Televisora Channel 7.
By sharing these messages with the Costa Rican families, Televisora
Channel 7 and Fundacion Paniamor constituted a new opportunity to found
an ally with each other, as it already has occurred in the past, in
order to celebrate the country’s infancy and adolescence, carrying a
positive message to the bosom of their homes, where everything starts
in its life.
